THOUGHTS

Another 2014 revised repost
"The work of righteousness will be peace,
And the service of righteousness,
confidence (security) forever.
Then my people will live in a peaceful habitation,
And in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places..."
Isaiah 32:17-18
This is under the label in my Bible,
"The Glorious Future."
Who wouldn't want this future?
I lost a friend early this morning who has
entered into her glorious future.
"Behold, a king will reign righteously
And princes will rule justly.
Each will be like a refuge from the wind
And a shelter from the storm,
Like streams of water in a dry country,
Like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land...
Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high..."
Isaiah 32:1-2, 15
We are to hunger and thirst for this righteousness. Today is the National Day of Prayer. May our hearts unite putting this longing by asking for it in prayer, personally and nationally. The One who created the Garden of Eden for mankinds' enjoyment and fellowship still longs to pour out upon us who are hot and dry seeking living water, shade, rest and quietness with confidence, security.
"I will abide in Thy tabernacle for ever,
I will trust in the covert of Thy wings."
Psalm 61:4
I love the sound of birds singing and the rush of wings.
It's like I am in a bird sanctuary here,
egrets herons, mallards, titmouses, gnatcatchers, house finches, chickadees, to name a few,
a tabernacle made up of the sky and shade trees beside a small steam.
"Would it be possible that one could be thus with God,
listening to Him, speaking to Him,
reposing upon His love,
and not come out with a shining face,
a gladdened heart ,
an intent more constant and more strong
to give to the waiting world which so sadly needs it
what has been taken from the heart of God."
Alexander McKenzie.
Pray, knock, seek, ask to enter into this shelter of His fellowship in the Spirit.
