WILDEST IMAGINATION
Children know how to do it, to live in the land of make-believe, to fly with the wings of imagination. That's why the big guy in the red suit gets his superpowers from a humble beginning in the fourth century from a Saint named Nicolas. A neighbor boy once asked how Jesus got His "powers." I tried to explain the incarnation, the virgin birth, fully God & fully man stuff. He asserted that he understood, though down through the ages few have.
When our first family were teenagers, a sweet girl from their youth group rode in our car with our family for an outing. By the time she observed our overwhelming wild, verbose conversations, she innocently commented, "You all have imaginary brains!" We own that.
"The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us,
and we behold His glory,
glory as of the only begotten from the Father,
full of grace and truth."
John 1:14
So many people did not accept Jesus as the Messiah because His coming was beyond their wildest imagination and limited perceptions: a baby in a manger? Have you beheld His glory, full of grace and truth?
