FROM SLAVERY TO A LIFE OF HOLY SERVICE

The purpose of this blog is to share my life with loved ones and the biblical truths that I have lived by to encourage others to do the same.

Scripture: James 1.1 James a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ to the 12 tribes which are scattered abroad. Rejoice!

James is a step brother of Jesus and yet does not become a believer until after the death, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. As James  enters the church he becomes a life long leader and teacher of the Word of God.

I was born into a home of addiction to every form of sin. I rejected Jesus as Lord and became a hopelessly enslaved captive to sin until I too met Jesus at his cross, death,and resurrection and  accepted him as Lord.  My whole life was changed by God to become a life long servant leader and teacher of the Word of God.

I rejected the truth of God's Word and the Lordship of Christ.  But when I acknowledged Christ as Lord and was really willing to surrender to His Lordship, Christ broke my sinful addictive chains.  The old Alvin hopeless sinner died, and the new Alvin, a servant of the Lord and teacher-preacher-leader-servant of the Lord was born again. I gave the rest of my life to the living, teaching and preaching of God's Word.

Oh, and God sent me out with a message to the dispersing church..  It is the truth that the Word of God has been made available to you to change your life, to free you of your sin and to make you a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Rejoice, repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.  The joy of the Lord will be our strength! Hallelujah!
